Dilemma and conflict.

"do the god love a thing because it is holy; or is a thing holy because it is loved by god?"
Euthyphro Dilemma - Plato

A dilemma is a situation where it could be both side and you do not knw which is better. Unlike dilemma, in my point of view, a conflict is when u actually prefer a side/choice, but u feel bad to not choose the other way round. Therefore, it is common to have self-conflict, but u would never heard of self-dilemma. For example, every morning when u choose either to wake up or not, could be self-conflict; because u knew it is better to go class, but u prefer sleep awhile more. The choice is obvious, is either u go or u sleep, and regret for the other.

Back to dilemma, u could not have made a choice, because both sides seem to be equally based. The dilemma example above is created by Euthyphro and Socrates and is recorded by Plato. It is, at least for me, something which is hard to decide. In our real life, dilemma is not often happen. Even some ppl like bluff himself or others by saying some decision is hard to make, but the real dilemma never happen. For example, a manager might claim it is hard to decide which candidate to be hired, but actually in is heart there is of cause a preferable candidate.

U might regret that u did not choose the other in a conflict; but u will not angry with urself for choosing it. In a dilemma, even the choice did not ended badly, u still felt regret not to choose the other. That is basically how i differentiate between dilemma and conflict.
